The medieval history of the village is tied to that of the Order of the Knights Hospitaller of Saint John of Jerusalem.
The museum of "Dauphinois" Protestantism is established in one of the few temples spared after the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes. It traces the history of the Reformation in the region. It is also the starting point of the Huguenot trail (GR965) that goes from Le Poët-Laval to Geneva and then continues through Switzerland and Germany.
